Vang Vieng

So now we're in Vang vieng which is so beautiful! The bus journey down here was amazing if not a little scary- very windy roads reminded me a bit of Corfu with the driver who kept overtaking before sharp corners! Its an amazing little village surrounded by mountains but don't think you really get to see the real Laos because its so backpacker orientated.
Yesterday tried out tubing for the first time which is the biggest backpacker craze- everyone we've met goes on about it! It was so much fun, you float down the river with a rubber ring and basicaly stop off at different bars and cafes which have rope swings and slides etc! Im regretting now being the daredevil and doing the swing which no other girl did-my hands slipt straight away and i fell from quite big height and now my thighs and stomach are quite badly bruised :( so moving around is quite painful! We were in quite a nice group of people though mainly couples and quite a bit older than us but got on with them all really well.
Today Laura's feeling a bit ill think she may have eaten something but on the main road every other cafe is showing friends or family guy so its quite easy to just spend the whole day relaxing and doing that! We bumped into a girl last night we'd met in Vietnam so i might join her and her friends to visit some caves which i really want to see but its quite frustrating because i'd love to cycle with them but my legs are in so much pain, im not sure if i can..... but i'll decide in a bit and let you know how that goes!
